Die emotionale Intelligenz von Kindern wird durch die Smartphone-Nutzung ihrer Eltern beeintr\u00e4chtigt, wenn sie auf das Display starren, w\u00e4hrend ihr Kind in der N\u00e4he ihre Aufmerksamkeit sucht. Das zeigt eine Untersuchung von Robin Nabi von der University of California, Santa Barbara.<\/p>\n

Emotionale Intelligenz ist eine Reihe von mentalen F\u00e4higkeiten, die es einer Person erm\u00f6glichen, ihre emotionalen Zust\u00e4nde zu erkennen, zu verstehen und zu verwalten. Laut Nabi werden Babys mit einem gewissen Ma\u00df an emotionaler Intelligenz geboren. Aber es ist auch eine F\u00e4higkeit, die erlernt, ge\u00fcbt und entwickelt werden kann, und sie variiert von Person zu Person, so die Kommunikationswissenschaftlerin.<\/p>\n

\u201eManche Menschen sind sehr gut darin, Emotionen wie Angst oder Wut zu beherrschen, andere nicht\u00bb, verdeutlicht Rabin. Und wir wissen auch, dass Eltern oft in ihre Telefone vertieft sind, was die Interaktion und das Feedback, das sie ihren Kindern geben, einschr\u00e4nken k\u00f6nnte\u00bb, betont die Forscherin.<\/p>\n

400 Eltern zielgerichtet befragt<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nabi und ihr Team haben 400 Eltern von Kindern im Alter von f\u00fcnf bis zw\u00f6lf Jahren befragt. Unter anderem sollten sie die emotionale Intelligenz ihrer Kinder und deren Sorge um andere bewerten. Sie berichten auch \u00fcber deren Nutzung von Medien wie Fernsehen, Computer, Spielkonsolen, Tablets und Smartphones, und dar\u00fcber, wie oft ihre Kinder Aktivit\u00e4ten wie Lesen, Musik h\u00f6ren und Spielen im Freien und in Innenr\u00e4umen nachgehen.<\/p>\n

Andererseits berichten die Eltern \u00fcber die Zeit, die sie sie selbst in Anwesenheit ihrer Kinder mit digitalen Ger\u00e4ten verbringen und wie oft sie dabei Gespr\u00e4che mit ihren Kindern angefangen haben. Es stellte sich heraus, dass allein die Smartphone-Nutzung einen Einfluss auf die Entwicklung der emotionalen Entwicklung der Kinder hat. \u201eTelefone k\u00f6nnen uns helfen, uns zu entspannen, mit der Familie Kontakte zu pflegen und interessante Dinge \u00fcber die Welt zu lernen. Sie k\u00f6nnen aber auch problematisch sein, je nachdem, wie wir sie verwenden. Dazwischen muss die Balance gefunden werden\u00bb, schlie\u00dft Nabi.<\/p>\n
