Die Weinregion Cari\u00f1ena liegt in der Provinz Aragon, in der N\u00e4he von Zaragoza, bei den beiden spanischen Fl\u00fcssen Huerva und Jal\u00f3n. Schon im Jahr 500 v. Christus wurden von den R\u00f6mern in diesem Gebiet Trauben angebaut. Im Mittelalter, mit seinen vielen Kl\u00f6stern, florierte der Weinanbau in diesem Gebiet dann richtig. Im 16. Jahrhundert war etwa die H\u00e4lfte der Fl\u00e4che der Provinz Zaragoza bestockt. Die Weine, die in diesem Gebiet entstanden, hatten einen sehr guten Ruf, und als K\u00f6nig Philip II. das Gebiet einmal besuchte, wurde extra ein Springbrunnen erbaut, in dem kein Wasser, sondern exklusiver Wein floss.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cari\u00f1ena wurde im Jahr 1960 das Pr\u00e4dikat D.O. verliehen. Das Pr\u00e4dikat steht f\u00fcr Denominication de Origen. Um den Status D.O. zu erhalten, muss ein Gebiet nicht nur \u00fcber besondere Eigenschaften verf\u00fcgen, sondern der Wein muss auch unter strengen Auflagen produziert werden und reifen. Die Weine aus der D.O. Cari\u00f1ena sind also absolute Qualit\u00e4tsweine, auf deren Ursprung und deren Reinheit man sich verlassen kann.<\/span><\/p>\n

Entscheidende Faktoren, die die Region Cari\u00f1ena so besonders machen, sind z. B. die B\u00f6den. Diese sind r\u00f6tlich-braune Kalksteinb\u00f6den mit Ger\u00f6ll und organischen Ablagerungen. Die B\u00f6den sind au\u00dferdem sehr reich an Kalziumkarbonat sowie Schiefer und Kies. Diese B\u00f6den lassen die Reben besonders gut gedeihen und verleihen auch den Weinen exzellente Geschmacksnoten.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Vor mehr als einem halben Jahrhundert gr\u00fcndeten Winzer aus verschiedenen Gemeinden der Region Cari\u00f1ena zwischen 1950 und 1967 die Genossenschaften Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Pilar de Villanueva de Huerva, San Roque de Alfam\u00e9n, San Jos\u00e9 de Aguar\u00f3n und San Bernab\u00e9 de Cosuenda Agrar,<\/span><\/i> die \u201e<\/span>Transformaci\u00f3n de Cari\u00f1ena\u201c aus der im\u00a0 Jahr 1997 die Bodegga <\/span><\/i>Grandes Vinos y Vinedos<\/i><\/b> entstand.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Grandes Vinos y Vinedos<\/i><\/b> ist heute die f\u00fchrende und gr\u00f6\u00dfte Bodega in der D.O. Carinena.. Man verf\u00fcgt in 14 Gemeinden \u00fcber insgesamt mehr als 4.000 ha Weinberge, die auf einer H\u00f6he von 320 bis 850 Meter \u00fcber dem Meeresspiegel liegen.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
